“Whatever your story, own it.

Make this life count,

Don’t bank on the next one.

This is my story.”

Fast N Curious. Why?

“I first laughed when a friend told me he was getting his motorcycle licence. We were 30 years old and I replied, ‘that’s too dangerous’. I’d grown up riding dirt and trail bikes but the thought of riding in traffic with cars & trucks… We ended up getting our licences together and that was the beginning of my love for road touring and my bike buying spree, thanks Phil & Jason!”

FNC is a blend of my love of motorcycles, open road touring and creative design.

“I have been inspired by so many people in my life. I am truly grateful to each and every one of those amazing humans for each helping to flick another light switch on in my head”

Time to grab a paint brush.

here’s a little bit about my path…

When I left school, I wanted to be a travel agent.

That lasted one day.

I was told, “If you’re here to make money, leave!”

I took the advice.

I guess I always wanted to explore and discover, make money, be able to make my parents proud of the son they raised. I felt I owed it to them and to myself to make some sort of difference. I received the best advice from that lecturer that day at 17 years of age. See, I thought it would be great to have a job and be able to travel, what a great combination. But without money, how do you travel?

I had to grow up quick.

I’d just joined a trucking yard at 17.

No excuses in this place boy.

My Father had always been in the transport game, I grew up around it. I loved the camaraderie, the freedom, the power of a union and the strength to stand up against corporate bullying. I was my own boss.

If I didn’t work, I didn’t earn. This was the lesson to carry me for life…

I got into the transport business, I earned decent money and found my passion for the long road.

7 Years, Another Lesson

After working my way up the ranks inside a trucking yard where the next youngest guy was 10 years my senior, I had earned seniority and had a decent amount of guaranteed work. Busy also being a union delegate and fighting for our men’s rights that were continually on the line and under threat from corporate pressure.

I was 24, went to work one morning and learned yet another invaluable lesson.

I just lost half my earnings for something I had no control over.

How?

A corporate contract is lost and the little guy suffers. Life story for so many… That will only happen to me once!

Get up. Dust off. New Plan.

Let’s be clear, I now understand that if I’m going to be the best I can be, I need only answer to myself.

What do I know?

I’m happy to work hard, I’m happy to learn and embrace, but…

I expect to succeed.

That is not negotiable.

I own it.

If you keep going at this pace Dean, you can’t fail.

The sound words of advice from my first mentor. Welcome to the real estate industry. (Thank you George, never forgotten)

Let’s just say, I found my niche. Since 2002 I hand built a career, a name, a brand of trust and ethics. I purchased the company in 2008 in the middle of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC). A lot of less fortunate people laughed.

My view. If I can make it work now, nothing will stop me. Time to truly back myself & my abilities.

Bank on this life, not next.

If I can suggest you study one book in your life;

‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill

I studied this book late in my business life and fortunately found that a lot of what the book speaks of has actually been part of my DNA and philosophy since I was 17 - maybe even earlier.

When you discover what it is. Life changes, you now have…

Definite Purpose.
